Our local pre-bookable bus service is the easiest way to get to and from Anthropy27. Travelling through the local towns of St Austell, Charlestown, Carlyon Bay, Par, Fowey and Bodmin, these buses are great for attendees who are hoping to make sure of public transport. If you wish to make use of the bus service please book accommodation in one of these towns.
Public transport is limited and taxis are pre-bookable only — so our bus service offers peace of mind.
To purchase an Anthropy bus ticket, please add to your registration by logging in here.
Make your journey as smooth as possible by booking your taxis or car hire in advance.

We’d love it if you arrived by bus, train, bike, or even on foot (!)… but we understand that travelling by car may be the easiest way. The Eden Project is quite hard to miss but to help you on the way, follow these directions:
Based just outside St Austell on the south coast of mid Cornwall, the Eden Project is well signposted from the A30 from Exeter and the A391/390 from Plymouth.
If you’re coming from outside Cornwall, take the M5 southbound to Exeter, where the motorway splits. Take the A30 and exit at the Innis Downs junction (A391), then follow the signs for the Eden Project.
Pop it in your sat nav
The postcode for the Eden Project is PL24 2SG.
Double-check your sat nav route before setting off. Some sat navs direct traffic along narrow roads to get to the Eden Project. For example, westbound traffic from the A390 is sometimes directed from St Blazey via Cornhill Road which is a particularly narrow route. If, like us, you want to avoid these narrow roads, we recommend continuing to the A391 and following the signs to the Eden Project from there.
If you choose to travel by car, you might want to consider car sharing — enjoy some company, gain a car karaoke buddy, save money on fuel, and reduce your carbon footprint. Find a car buddy to share your journey by looking through the Liftshare network, or by popping a car share request in the Car Sharing forum on the Anthropy app (launching in January).
If you choose to travel by car, do consider offsetting your carbon emissions, for example with Ecolibrium’s travel carbon calculator.
There is ample free visitor parking at the Eden Project. From the car parks, you can either walk down to the visitor entrance and ticket desks or take the free park-and-ride bus (operating during peak times).
Visitors are welcome to park motorhomes and campervans in the car park, and the Eden Project can accommodate these in the coach park if they are oversized.
Good news, EV drivers — The Eden Project has 22kW charging points located in the Banana Car Park.
These charging points use the Mer Connect app, which can be downloaded for iOs and Android. We recommend downloading the app ahead of your visit to ensure a speedy plug-in on arrival.
All aboard the bus to Anthropy27. If you’re planning to catch a bus, then Transport for Cornwall’s number 28 and 31 services travel directly to the Eden Project. You can find connecting routes to these bus services all across Cornwall.
Please visit the Go Cornwall Bus website to plan your bus journey.
Those travelling to Cornwall by train can receive up to 80% off their rail ticket by purchasing tickets via this link within 3 months of travel — select St Austell as your destination.
The Eden Project is set just a few miles from St Austell railway station, which is on the main line from London Paddington and is well served by buses between St Austell and the Eden Project.
There will be a Anthropy bus to meet the first London train arriving in St Austell.
On Friday Anthropy buses will depart Eden in time to connect with trains. The journey is 15 mins from Eden to St Austell train station.
Check train timetables and plan your journey via:
If you’re planning to visit us from further afield, the nearest airport to the Eden Project is Cornwall Airport in Newquay.
Cornwall Airport is well connected to other areas of the UK and some European cities. From the airport, you can hire a car, book a taxi, or get a bus or train to the Eden Project. Visit the Cornwall Airport website for more information.
Exeter Airport is the closest airport for international flights. If you are arriving at Exeter Airport, you can hire a car or get a train from Exeter St. David’s Station to St Austell. If taking the train, Exeter St David’s Station is approximately 6 miles from Exeter Airport and reachable by bus or taxi. Visit the Exeter Airport website for more information.
Tighten up your walking boots or fasten up your helmet, and turn your journey into a scenic adventure. Eden Project is well-equipped with bike racks and luggage lockers.
