Emerging Leaders

Paving the way for the next generation of leaders

The Emerging Leaders programme  brings young leaders aged 18-30 into crucial national conversations with established leaders. This programme bridges generational gaps and cultivates diverse perspectives.

Intergenerational collaboration

Young people are the leaders of tomorrow, and the inheritors of todays decisions. Essential innovation will come from collaboration between established and emerging leaders – neither generation can fix everything alone.

The Emerging Leaders programme, sponsored by Brandpie, was born out of the desire of established leaders to hear the perspectives of our future leaders. To accelerate such collaboration, the national gatherings foster intergenerational dialogue and learning across a broad range of industries.

Emerging Leaders receive a complimentary ticket for all three days of the Anthropy national gathering, granting them access to all main sessions spanning the wide range of themes.

The Emerging Leaders programme is led by the Anthropy Emerging Leaders Alliance a leadership team of young people and specialist youth organisations who work collaboratively to craft topics and secure speakers for certain sessions within the UKs largest shared agenda.

A selection of Emerging Leaders are also invited to lead in discussions, workshops, and sessions alongside established leaders, where their fresh-thinking, perspectives, and experiences are valued.

Are you, or do you know, an Emerging Leader?

If you’re interested in nominating or becoming an Emerging Leader, they/you need to be aged between 18 and 30 years old and have some leadership-relevant experience. This could be through work, civic engagement, volunteering, or spearheading a project.

Applications are open for leaders and future leaders who are ready to contribute to a community focused on making real change. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

You can now apply or nominate a rising star to experience the Anthropy national gathering as an Emerging Leader.

Benefits of being an Emerging Leader

Joining the Emerging Leaders Programme offers participants a unique opportunity to step outside the everyday environment and be immersed in a unique and dynamic setting.

Complimentary access to Anthropy's national gathering

Receive a bursary ticket to Anthropy’s three-day national gathering at the Eden Project in Cornwall. Participants will choose from 230+ sessions, building their personal itinerary via the Anthropy app. This event offers incredible learning and networking opportunities.

Join a positive movement

Become part of a community dedicated to fostering a positive impact on our people, places, economy, and global perspective. It’s a chance to be part of something big, something important.

Connect with diverse leaders, young and old

Meet and connect with leaders from different backgrounds and sectors. These connections can become valuable networks for your future endeavours.

Guided personal development

During Anthropy26, Emerging Leaders received exclusive access to personal development opportunities with Strategic Communications Mentor for the Anthropy26 Emerging Leaders Programme, Paul Boross MBE. Paul’s work is dedicated to helping people speak with clarity, communicate with confidence, and perform under pressure – whether on stage, in a room, or in life. As part of the Emerging Leaders experience, participants had the opportunity to benefit from Paul’s training and insights in a way that supported their growth as a leader and prepared them to fully engage with the opportunities at Anthropy26.

Co-create sessions for the national gathering

Brandpie, who sponsor our Emerging Leaders programme, and co-chair the Emerging Leaders Alliance, will be running virtual sessions inviting all Emerging Leaders signed up by January to dial in and contribute to the creation of three Emerging Leaders sessions at the Anthropy national gathering.

Have your voice heard

All Emerging Leaders are invited to join workshops and sessions side by side with established leaders. Some Emerging Leaders will also have the opportunity to participate on panels, ensuring your voice is heard on critical national conversations.

If you are between the ages of 18-30, you will be able to apply to join us at the upcoming national gathering, 10-12 March 2027, as an Emerging Leader!

Eligibility: The Emerging Leaders Programme offers applicants the opportunity to join two Anthropy national gatherings on a free bursary ticket. Please note that you must re-apply to claim your spot on the programme in your second year. Thereafter, returning Emerging Leaders can apply to participate at the national gatherings via the Emerging Leaders Alumni Programme provided they are still within the 18-30 age bracket. As an alumni we ask participants to contribute £250 (+VAT) towards their ticket – 75% off the standard ticket price of £1000 (+VAT).

We look forward to receiving your application!

Please note, whilst Anthropy is delighted to be able to offer bursary tickets for Emerging Leaders, who will make up around 10% of the total national gathering audience, regrettably Anthropy is not able to contribute to travel or accommodation expenses. It is our hope that the employers of Emerging Leaders may be able to help, where possible, since we know that they will return on Monday morning with a whole new lease of life.
